Fountain Hopping
Fountain Hopping is the Stanford tradition of jumping in water fountains around campus. It typically takes place during Admit Weekend, during Orientation, after finals, on a nice sunny day, or just out of spontaneity. Stanford has over a dozen fountains on campus.
The Claw
The most common fountain to go hopping in is The Claw. The Claw is located just outside the bookstore.
Red Fountain
The red fountain is located between Meyer and Green libraries, known for its strong waterfall type spray.
Old Union
The new Old Union has a fountain located in the middle of its courtyard.
Memorial Auditorium
Memorial Auditorium, affectionately called MemAud, has a fountain outside with a distinct quadruple spout.
